Leluvia, who could ask for anything more

From daybreak as seen from our Bure front door, then a walk along the beach, collecting shells
Through the morning, looking across to Viti Levu and walking around the island exploring the many rock pools at low tide
After lunch on the island, you are either in the water or walking on the sand, if you have that much energy, or snorkeling in the waters here,
Late afternoon enjoying some champers,
And to the end of a perfect day, not only one day but several, an experience that should be on everyone's bucket list

Fiji

When I heard Christine and Jan were entering Fiji Fashion Week, I knew I would be kept busy but I didn't realise how busy. Its been sew and sew since I arrived in Sept, and the results are clearly visible http://www.huudaverti.com/ Most of those clothes were sewn in house in a marathon effort to get them complete by 20 Oct. but wait there is more, Christine also entered a childrens collection http://huudaverti.com/sand_by_huudaverti.html and so the sewing effort was double. It was fun, seeing behind the scenes with clothes fittings, shoe fittings, model selection and much more.
We hardly had time to leave the house, but with interesting food available, such as sea grapes, served with the proverbial coconut milk, garlic and chilli who needs to eat out, but when we did on a Sunday there were Dosa's to keep my strength up,
or Pizza at the Holiday Inn with a beautiful sunset to remind me that this is Suva, it may rain nearly every day but who cares when it is warm and we hardly had to venture out during the week, so the rain didn't worry us.
After three nights of fashion shows, our showing was on the Saturday lunch time for the children's show and Saturday night for the emerging designers, (Christine and Jan)we decided we needed a break from Suva and headed to Leluvia, a beautiful small island just north of Suva and near Ovalau. We had arrived just before lunch, took a swim and a walk around the island and I decided to have a sleep, I do know what happened next,my legs were still asleep when I went to climb up a high step hanging on to a coconut palm for support, I took a break, landing on my rear and left hand. I really thought I may have had a broken wrist so Chris and I had to head back to Suva for an x-ray. Fortunately it was only a sprained wrist which needed a splint and some help doing up my bra, and some back massage I have totally recovered. We head back to Leluvia for Christmas and I now know not to trust a coconut palm for support.
On a previous visit there was a bird nesting in the shrubs at the side of the carport, and the boys had saved the nest, this time I got to witness the baby bird hatch and fly away, I think there had been two birds but by the time I got this photo there was only one.
