New York continued

after I recovered I had to make up for lost time, went to a free concert by Fiona Boyes the Australian blues singer, free jazz concerts and latin music, tried to go to a concert in Central park but it was so crowded I couldn't hear the music, let alone see the artists. It wasn't the best summer weather with lots of storms just when I wanted to go somewhere

Love the subway art, this is in Queens, when I was trying to find my way to the biggest craft shop ever and some of the subway lines were closed for repairs.

the new High Line park,on the West Side full of flowers and good views over to New Jersey,

With a new American citizen

My favourite Tuesday afternoon food, Sri Lankan dosa at Waverley Park listening to music as I ate. Then off to poetry group nearby.

walking the dogs is tiring, so many other dogs to say 'Hello' too, and so many pet shops to check out. Then we had bubble tea before heading home on the subway.

Finally, Canberra, Brisbane, New York

Left Sydney at 10c and New York was 30c+. Definitely do not recommend a visit to the emergency dept at Downtown Hospital in New York, I was heading off to a free concert and tripped on uneven pavement, luckily no broken bones. Just kept me housebound for a couple of weeks.

It was getting too cool in Canberra in June and I decided it was time to visit New York.

After the beach I went to Brisbane the coast way, got a new laptop there and its taken me months to get my photos right to put on the blog. Drove back via the New England. Had to stop at Balancing Rock just after Glen Innes. Took a detour to Inverell and the sky was the most beautiful red I have ever seen, wanted to stop for a photo but had a truck close behind me and no where to pull over.

Just love walking around the rocks and looking in rock pools. This shell was live so didn't want to disturb it.

After my birthday we had more visits to the beach, this shot is at Racecourse beach on the south coast, all the beaches are amazing and so different.
