More India and Sri Lanka and Gold Coast

The beautiful Neemrama Fort Palace Hotel,built in the 1500's. The food and massage were exceptional





We returned to New Delhi for Christmas and more shopping, This is the sweets selection at the Hyatt La Piazza.






We wanted to go to the south of India but all hotels we could afford were booked out, out of a hat I drew Sri Lanka and we flew there and headed straight for Tallala retreat. Chris saw this beautiful little fish with peacock coloured spots in a rock pool at the beach




Tallala retreat has one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka,






Jan and Dave loved the beach so much they decided to have a committment ceremony there, the retreat had a beach hut built, we all loved the ceremony, the flowers and the champagne and fresh roasted cashews afterwards. This is Jan (looking radiant)and Chris and I happy for them.

I returned to Sydney and had to rush to Gold Coast to visit Milton, next I leave for New York for two months, Keep watching for updates

The sweet shops in New Delhi are wonderful but I didn't buy the 'boogas'







We caught the overnight train to Kota and had breakfast at this haveli, the food was delicious





We drove to Bundi, with an amazing fort palace, the city has lots of blue houses, the colour is supposed to keep the mossies away

We returned to Kota and caught the afternoon train to Jaipur, the busiest traffic I have ever seen. then drove to Neemrama Fort Palce Hotel.


It was a short bumpy camel cart ride to this 9 story below ground step well.
